Phoenix, AZ (August 7, 2017) – Zoyo Neighborhood Yogurt has announced today that it is teaming up with Neighborhood Initiatives Water (NI) to carry the water product to retail their locally made beverage in it’s Phoenix corporate stores.

Neighborhood Initiatives water is sold in some of the best popular restaurants and establishments in the Valley, Phoenix market, including Original Chop Shop, La Grande Orange, The Henry and Chloe’s Corner to name a few.  Now the water is being sold at Zoyo Neighborhood Yogurt stores throughout the Valley.  A portion of the sale of each bottle will be donated to a local organizational cause in the neighborhood.  “This is Zoyo being the neighborhood gathering place and selling water to give back to the community” said Zoyo President & CEO, Robert Schiller.

Neighborhood Initiatives began last year, with the mission started in 2016 to encourage local giving and neighborhoods supporting their neighborhood to and support neighborhoods in the valley.   With each Neighborhood Initiatives water NI bottle that is sold, proceeds will be donated to a local initiative chosen by that company, their employees and their local patrons to invest in their community.  Aaron Klusman founder stated “NI is more than another beverage, it’s truly a simple approach and opportunity to give back”.

Currently three (3) Zoyo stores in Scottsdale, Central Phoenix and Arcadia have already started selling the NI water and the proceeds will go to Taylor’s Run, an organization that brings awareness to SIDS.  The patrons of those three stores participate in the Taylor’s Run event and are already supportive of that this great cause.

Meet our Franchisees – Deron Manwaring

Are franchise businesses small businesses? Not all franchised businesses are small businesses by every Zoyo Neighborhood Yogurt franchise location, including Zoyo in Warsaw and Ft. Wayne are owned and operated by a local small business owner. So in the case of Zoyo, yes they are a local small business and should be celebrated on Small Business Saturday.

Meet Daren Manwaring, local small business owner.

screen-shot-2016-11-23-at-4-29-21-pm

Deron worked his way through the ranks at a publicly traded manufacturing company from customer service representative to national sales and marketing manager before taking on the new challenges of small business ownership.

Deron brings a wealth of expertise from his background in marketing to his two locations in Indiana as well as his ability to build relationships within the public and private sectors in the communities in which his stores do business.  Deron was the first franchisee to join Zoyo Neighborhood Yogurt but he was ready to be his own boss and to be the reason he succeeded or failed.

Meet our Franchisees – Joe and Emily Verbeke

Local small businesses that are celebrated on Small Business Saturday come in all shapes and sizes, including franchise businesses such as Zoyo Neighborhood Yogurt.  Franchise locations across the US are owned and operated by small business owners and make up the fabric of a community’s dynamic and vibrant local neighborhood businesses.  The Zoyo Neighborhood Yogurt location in Troy is not an exception but rather an example one of Troy’s many great small businesses.

Meet Joe and Emily Verbeke, local small business owners.

Though Emily grew up working in her family’s manufacturing business, both she and Joe started their careers in education.  Before leaving his teaching job, Joe taught music for 11 years in Michigan and Colorado and Emily is currently a school psychologist.

Having a background in education, both Joe and Emily know that schools are the cornerstone of every community and so they have focused much of their time and effort of developing partnerships with schools and education-related organizations through donations, fundraising opportunities, and health and wellness fairs in and around the Troy community.

Emily and Joe have brought a passion for learning effective business operations and especially local marketing.  They have stayed up to date with trends on the various social media platforms and they are typically the first to try new marketing strategies within the franchise, and constantly develop new content to encourage franchise and single-store development.
